Hello,
​​​​​​i have one 86 XJ6 which has the trunk locked, central lock could not open it.
Is there anyway to bypass to have the trunk opened?

Use the boot lid key?

 

Trunk isn’t on central unlocking, only locking! There is a modification that can make it both, but for now if you don’t have key, remove the license plate and you can manipulate the rod to unlock it, if you have another that you can open and look at the mechanism it will great improve your chance of opening it

in that case, you need to remove the license plate and try to grab the vertical Rod seen through one of the license plate screw holes with long thin needlenose pliers. This rod is attached to the latch and by pulling it UP the trunk lid can be opened.

the other solution is destructive: cut a hole between the license plate screw holes but nearer the two right hand holes, to be able to grab the rod and pull it. Then once opened, close the hole with a suitable plug.

Thanks to all, I was able to unlock the trunk bit unfortunately I didn't make a video of that to share.
i applied the license plate holes method.
