88 xj6 transmission problem
OK guys here's my problem.. I recently started back driving my 88 xj6 but it seems that my transmission is spitting the fluid back out of the dipstick tube. Has anyone ever had this problem and know of a solution.. It's not over full, in fact its always low due to the expelling of the fluid.

An 88 XJ6 would be an XJ40 with a ZF 4 speed transmission. Some markets had the 3.6 ltr engine, and others got the 4.0 ltr engine.
That last of the Series 3 XJ6 was in 7/87, and they had the XK4.2ltr engines and BW66 3 speed transmission.
Maybe a change of section could be needed.
I have not heard of that spitting of fluid out the dipstick on either transmission.
