Aluminum Rear Cover
I used to buy most of my racing parts from Speedway Motors. They still send me a catolog and in it I found an aluminum rear cover. Link to this item from Speedway: http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Finned...over,3805.html
Can you guys tell if this cover fits an 82 XJ6? Pictured is the $90 unpolished cover-I think. The polished cover sells for $150 and should be much shinier.
Does anyone else carry these...maybe even cheaper? They are made by Mr. Roadster. I questioned them about supplying a gasket as well and will let you know if one is provided with it.

Fits Dana 44 rears, gasket not included.
Dana 44's AKA Salisbury rear ends are found in XK120-XK150, some E-types, and XJ6 Saloons. Also used in Ford trucks, AMC, front gears of US made 4x4's, Sunbeam Tigers, 283 and 427 Cobras and most likely found under other British made vehicles.
I think these covers would look sharp under any cat! Anyone have one like it?

An alternative for bone yard pickers....
The 88½ and later XJSs have a very nice finned aluminum diff cover. You'll need a 1" freeze plug to plug off the speedo sensor hole which you wouldn't need.
Cheers
