Default Any source for a sticker for windshield wiper control?

Hi all,

Working on my 1985 VDP and just put a new turn signal stalk in as the old one was broken. Now of course the windshield wiper control looks bad compared to the turn signal switch. Wiper control works 100%, just the directions printed on it are long gone.

Anyone know of a source to get just a new sticker to go onto the stalk? Cant see spending $150 to get a whole new stalk just for this minor cosmetic fix. Considering how many of them I see with the symbols completely gone and the relative ease of doing short run stickers I would think this is something a good many people may be interested in....

Thanks for looking.

are you referring to the white-on-black symbols that are printed on the stalk arm?

are you saying the lettering has "erased" from wear?

just curious because my 1984 still has the original wipers switch and the lettering is still intact.

I would contact David at Everyday XJ, he might have some bad switches laying around and get you a stalk arm.

That's it exactly Jose. Are you saying the arm can be replaced independently of the switch? That would definitely be easier and hopefully cheaper.

I rebuilt my own wiper switch, the brass contacts wear out inside the "box".

I noticed the arm is inserted under tension into the box, so in theory yes, it can be replaced. Lot of work just for the sticker. What I meant is that David might have a bad switch and he might pull the sticker off it, assuming it is removable without damaging it.

I wish we had any good salvage yards anywhere close to where I am. I am not sure that our local leaders in their infinite wisdom and who always know what is best for us common folk find that sort of thing to aesthetically pleasing enough to be allowed. j/k (kinda)

I did follow up on your excellent suggestion to contact David at Everydayxj.com I have gotten things from him before and am awaiting his response.
