Default Battery tray removal

The subject 'pert much' says it all -- is there a trick to removing that battery tray? Mines a bit rusty, and I'd like to get the whole thing cleaned and painted up, but I can't see where to get at the screws/bolts from the top. Do I have to yank a wheel or something?

If I remember correctly you get to the bolts holding the battery tray from inside the car in the upper part of the foot well, passenger side. Not easy.

yes, the nuts are inside the car, to get to them you have to remove the insulation pad which will self-destruct during removal, if not the blower case, not worth the massive effort, clean and paint it from above as best you can.
