I have a copy of the Bentley Jaguar: Book 1, Series III Service Manual on order.

Is there another manual that would be good to have as well? I am trying to get a 1987 XJ6 4.2 up and running.

That's the gold standard, it's a reprint of the full factory manual. If that's not what they send you, return it and PM me.
