The thread title says “stalls”…. which I would interpret as the engine stops running.

“No power” implies the engine stays running.

Please clarify exactly what’s happening.

If the engine stays running but the car won’t move then Jose’s advice to check the transmission fluid is your best next step.

Cheers
DD

You should take a good look at the little plaque on the car. Im sure it reads, Vanden Plas. You should know this as the owner of such car. Other than that, intake leak, or fuel supply is having trouble with the demand.

One possible cause is a partly blocked fuel filter.
It allows sufficient fuel through to support the idle but not enough to get real power.
Fuel pressure would seem OK but no real fuel flow when the system demands it.

Finally, the coolant temperature sensor may be faulty - if so, the engine will not be receiving the “enrichment” needed during the warm-up period, and this results in stalling. “Been there and done that “. The sensor is not expensive and is very easily replaced - and it is easily accessible on the engine.

I second the fuel filter! I had similar issues ( but inhave smaller inline filters before the change over valve, and car would bog down and sometimes backfire through the intake ( and then blow bellows off of throttle body) but only using right tank! My suggestion it to replace fuel filter and add two smaller inline ones before the valve! Fixed all my problems

Tiparillos won't make you cough when you inhale. 7-11 has them.
