Hello,
We have recently detected another issue with the XJ6 - S3

The problem with the car is when the engine gets hot and the ignition is turned off, the car never starts unless the engine cools down.

What might be the possible issue now and how do i get it fixed?

Two suggestions:

1. Poor connections. Battery cables and the under the car ground.

2. The starter is failing. Replace or refresh.

Please clarify 'won't crank'

The engine literally won't crank over, or

engine cranks over but won't ignite (start).

As JagCad say's, if it won't crank then there is most definitely an electrical issue.

If it cranks over, but doesn't start when hot, then other factors come into play, like

weeping fuel injectors
Faulty coil / amplifier
Bung Temp Sensor
A longer shot - wiring harness flaky

More specific info, more specific diagnosis.

Mike has two postings on the same issue. He has a true 'no crank' problem. That is, the starter does not operate

The (what should be) common terminology to differentiate is "No crank, no start" and "Cranks but won't start"
