Default Correct Term

Is there a correct term for this rubber seal that fits over this spout?

breather hose, the part number i have listed is c44386 if im looking at it right, you mean the rubber elbow?

I purchased one last year and seen them also referred to as boot and cap, IIRC there were 2 sizes and had to measure my 1974.

Just looked up mine and it was the smaller of the 2 ....30mm diam...part C3465 for xj6 to '78......hope it helps.

Yep, when I ordered mine I got the larger one not knowing there were two available. Rather than bother with return postage,waiting etc, a sleeve made from old radiator hose worked perfect.

Yep till mine arrived I had some leftovers from another job and used them...they were fine and could have stayed on for some time..
