Default Daimler Double Six Kiekert - Keyless (via toad) install

Hi,
I don’t normally post to this forum (have a few other cars) but I thought this might be of interest.

My car is a 92 with the Kiekert central locking (but with no driver locking motor, only a controller). I debated triggering the existing central locking and adding an actuator and in the end opted to add an actuator in parallel to the controller and let the alarm control it only (via two relays to reverse the pulse as necessary to lock or unlock the two wire actuator). The other doors are then triggered by the driver door locking or unlocking.

Once I took the door card out I was surprised to see a handy space next to the controller. This allowed me to mount the new actuator along side it without issue and without making any new holes (hate making new holes). I used a molex connector in drivers footwell to make any future removal of the door straight forward (no wires to cut and reconnect).

Pics below. Hopefully of interested.
