Any way of fixing the float unit for the fuel gauges, cannot get a proper reading goes to half or in the right side the float floats around from empty to half and back again when tank is full.

Fixing the old ones sounds too much like work. They're probably shot. Just buy new ones and be done with it! Not very expensive. Easy to replace, too.

Cheers

I just replaced my driver side tank, and looked at my sending unit while I had it out. It seems they get a little corroded on the circuit part which I'm sure can affect the reading. I'd maybe pull the sending unit and check to see how the it looks. Worst case, you'll have it out, and installing a new one will be a breeze!
