Default Front Door Locks

Doors been off, mission to rehang them exactly. back doors work fine, front ones not so much. swing fine now, and close in place BUT once shut they won't open from the exterior handles. the interior flip handles open them but clearly a link of the network of ligature-like wires and hooks inside the dark space of the door is not connecting. What's the trick?

I had that happen once. Didn't like it either. In my case though, Neither one worked, inside or outside.
You'll need to work by feel mostly, because there's not room to see around your hands.

Look here to see how I eventually fixed it.

did an explore, I can video and see the shift when the interior handle (paddle) is used and watch it lift the release catch on the lock. can seem the mechanism fail to lift the catch when the external handle is employed. still reviewing that other post to see if I can follow it.
