Default fuse for trip computer

1985 Jaguar XJ6, trip computer doesn't work, the stereo is missing, could this just be a fuse or do I need to have a stereo installed?

Have you pushed and held the 'display' button?

The main voltage supply for the T/C is fuse #4 in the main (LH) fuse panel. All the gauges operate off the same fuse so if any of the gauges work, the fuse is OK

The memory voltage supply to the T/C is fuse #7 in the same panel

Sometimes just unplugging and re-seating the connector will bring the T/C back to life. Or sometimes they just die.

Cheers
