Default Heater Fan high speed not working, relay?

Hello everyone,

Carl here, I've got a new to me 1972 XJ6.

AC (original delanair) or heater fan only operates on low speed, high speed just turns off.

Would someone be so kind as to let me know what the problem might be?

Im thinking Fan relay, but would like some suggestions on where the location is.

This is my second turn at S1 XJ6 ownership, oddly enough my previous on was the same year and mostly the same color.

cheers

Carl

Mine does the same. I have heard the buttons on the middle panel can break. New ones are expensive so I would recommend getting an electrical scheme for the series 1 and measuring resistance in the button first, to make sure that is the problem.

That is odd, mine does the same, too.

I have other fish to fry in terms of work on the car so not thought to address the issue. I'll use the advice above myself though once I get started. Can I ask: How well does your AC work? Mine doesn't run terribly cool. Mine is, I think, also a stock set up.

Thanks!
