You are going to want to make changes in the tune regardless of the vats, Speedo is going to be off for sure, and if you have deleted anything on motor it will need to be deleted in the tune, somewhere else I have the spread sheet saved to figure out the speedo scalars. Also there will be timing and fueling differences between a camaro and a roadmaster for instance, what is the engine out of of and what is the new pcm out of? There is a site (can’t remember it right now) that has a bunch of tunes available to download for free, different rear ratios and different cams etc. I will look to see if I can find it! You will wonder how you ever got along without that cable once you get it!!

Darren: The engine and trans came out of a 1994 Camaro Z28. The JY ECM came from a 95 Caprice Classic 5.7L.
I installed the ECM and MAF today and the engine runs a lot smoother and the high idle speed I had also dropped to about 650-700 RPM. I will have to check and see if the MAF is any good.
The CEL is still lit but the engine runs a lot better. The ECM I got was #16188051. I also did not have to do a VATS delete.

Carl. The EGR was deleted but Painless told me to install and connect the EGR solenoid to their harness which I have done. I also have 2 new O2 sensors installed and connected. My problem is that I am unable to get my "CHEAPO" Code reader to connect to the ECM. I have been told that the "CHEAPO" Actron Code reader will not work.
