Looking for help.

My project car came without ht leads. Can anyone tell me which location on the distributor is cylinder 1. I have the firing order so should be able to work it out from there. A photo would be great.

Also can anyone recommend an Australian supplier for the leads?

 

Firing order is 153624, mine is a series 3 engine with electronic ignition, but they are the same. It had a series 1 points distributor (Lucas 22D6) which I replaced recently, from memory the position on the cap was the same.
Cylinder #1 is at the rear of the engine nearest windscreen.
My lead to cylinder #1 is at the front left of the distributor nearest the water pump. #4 is nearest to the power steering pump.

Any auto parts shop should be able to supply the leads. Other than that I pretty much use Jagdaim for all my parts. Always have it in stock and fast delivery. Doug Findlay is the man to speak to there.
