Default Ignition Switch Wiring HELP!

Does anybody know where I can find a wiring diagram for the ignition switch on a Series 2 XJ12? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can no longer drive it until I fix the wiring problem thanks in advance!

My stuff only has the Jaguar publication S57 for S3 cars. Whether or not it is the same or similar to your car is unbeknownst to me. if you contact me PM I'llbe glad to share a scan of the appropriate page.

Or, check Captainjaguarscathouse, an Australian site with a lot of very useful stuff.

If it's like a Ser III (I suspect it is) the lock assembly is held in place with shear bolts....which will have to be drilled out.

On shear bolts the hex head snaps off at xxx-amount of torque, leaving just a pointy nub.

Cheers

it's a Series 2 but I think it's the same.. so if I drill those out will it mess up my steering column or anything?

I have recently done this procedure on my 95rover and alfa. The jag is next. Keys were stolen, including the backups, duringa home burglary. It’s not easy to drillin that area so normally you use a small hacksaw to saw in a new groove, or (as I did) use a little chisel to tap it loose. Worked easy.
