Default IRS install HF transmission jack

I made this plate to fit under the IRS yesterday and to extend the HF adjustable tranny jack #60234. Note position of strap: this is the only way to remove it once the IRS is in position. I fed the strap's metal hook around the side of the top of the IRS case to remove.
These jacks have two planes you can adjust so useful to tilt and adjust angles as you approach install point. Still very 'forward heavy' - the irs wants to tip forward - but pretty stable with the plate in place. The front wheels are not manoueverable, I'm going to swap them for ones that swivel - they currently don't.
I used another regular jack too to finesse the wheel hubs and help locate the suspension mounts also. Still have two bolts to coax through the body but made the job easier.

Ditto:

Sure could have used one of those decades ago for removing and replacing engine/transmission combinations from my Corvairs. My forst effort used only a pair of bottle jacks. Later a trolley as well was a huge step forward!!

It's never truly Yours until you've modified it, is it.
And, few tools really work until you've modified them to your specific needs.
At least that's how it works here and I can't think we're unusual.

Good job!
