ronbros, does the car have an internal or external regulator for the alternator/generator? I am not familar with the specifics of the car you mention, but I know enough about how the power is generated in vehicles to help out. If in doubt, an internally controlled alternator will have a single wire coming off (running to the battery or electrically equivolent point via a large gauge wire) of the alternator vice an externally regulated one will have multiple wires coming off of it where most of the wires are small gauge wires with a single large gauge wire.
