Default Lowering 1976 XJ12C rear

I need to lower the rear only on my 1976 XJ12C probably only 1" to 1 1/2".
What is the proper procedure to not upset the alignment?
Thanks for any help. Cliff

I'm not familiar with XJC's but i assume they're the same setup as a normal XJ ?

Anyway, on my XJ6 im going for 4 adjustable platform coilovers, probably from either Gaz or Bilstein.

Failing that you could always get a fat person bundled into the boot but this would have some disadvantages

Way back, some, not I, in other critters merely added a couple of sand bags in the boot!!! Sounds awful, and it is, to a point. But, it does add balance to anose heavy car!!!

Tail draggers were in "fashion"....

Moving the lower coil over attachment points on the cage downwards????
