Talking My Daim found a car park buddy!

Look at that!

First time it's been in good company since I've owned it!

I would guess the brown! Both nice cars.
I seem to remember an earlier thread from Harry about removing a vinyl roof.

I like the Daimler grilles better. I put one in my S type and it looks awesome. Now I'm looking for a Daimler grille for my XJ.

Very nice!
And No One will have any trouble telling either of them from the cookie-cutters in the same lot!

The Portland beige one is mine haha.

I was going to try to remove a vinyl roof to put on mine. I ended up spraying a vinyl coating on instead. It's not the best but it does the job haha

Sorry. Still Confused (Dumb Aussie here). The car with the sprayed vinyl roof is yellow (unless I've gone colour blind) Is that also known as Portland Beige? If so, why? I know Portland Oregon is something of a Hipster Mecca. Do they like yellow? Our Portland, in Victoria, is a dreary little coastal port where not much happens. & beige would definitely suit anything coming out of there. (apologies to anyone from Portland Vic).

Sweet!
Did they exchange phone numbers?

The Daimler grill certainly looks more elegant, the downside is that you can't call it a jaguar anymore, well, according to some people!!
Ive collected 4 for my XJC (series 2) including a NOS one!

Yea they called the yellow "Portland beige", very "fancy" sounding and English bahaha.

Hahaha maybe they did exchange numbers! I do often call the Daim "The Old Girl"

Portland Beige is an official Jag/Daim colour. IMO, the name given to that buff yellow hue is another example of the brand's wonderful eccentricity!

I did a search for your vinyl roof thread, remembering this pic is what had me guessing the brown one was yours.
