Blue Six has now been returned to the road and passed muster with the State of NC. It has taken me to work a couple of days now and seems to run very well.
Some squawks:
reverse lamps inop
no heat (probably a stuffed heater valve)
windscreen will need rebedding
wants to run at about 95°C (I figure a sticking t-stat)
will lose fuel pressure if allowed to sit for more than a few minutes (I reused one of the non-return valves - possible culprit)

Over all I can't complain; the car sat for over a decade before I rescued it.

Also replaced the bashed wing with a good one off a red car - I kind of want to paint it Claret now.
