Default Mysterious Driver's Door Switch

On my 1975 XJ6C there are two door switches that are activated and deactivated when opening and closing the door. The top one (white) turns on and off the interior lights and is item 21 and 22 in the electrical diagram. I cannot find in the electrical diagram the switch mounted just below it (blue) and I don't know what it does. Any thoughts? See pic.

On mine it activates some kind of buzzer. If the ignition is ON and the doors are open it makes a loud annoying noise.

Seems to be it!!

And many have unplugged that buzzer as annoying!!

When I swapped in a NOS ignition switch, I found the buzzer had been unplugged.
The plug seemed to be a piggy back after thought. Easily undone after removing panels to get to it.

I reconnected it. As I am hearing challenged, that stuff doesn't annoy me..

Actually kind of neat. "come back here, you left the keys in the car.... yu want itr to be here when you get back?"

Carl.

Just seems funny that it's not in my XJ6C schematic. Never saw a buzzer when I had the dash apart. I don't need to go looking now though. Got bigger fish to fry.

Buzzer is on the Right side behind the glove box attached to the fan housing.
