need help with my 84 XJ6

Default need help with my 84 XJ6

I just bought it (first Jag) drove it yesterday just fine, then today i tried to start it to no avail. the radio, lights all work, i checked the coil and ignition switch im pretty sure theyre good, dont know where else to check. any suggestions?

also do both wires from the amplifier go on the + side of the coil??

No. One goes to the "pos" and one to the "neg". If one of them is solid white, that's the one that goes to the "pos"

Thanks for the help, i replaced the coil but its still not starting, its doing the same thing as before. I checked for voltage at the + side and its there but i couldnt find any voltage at the - side. Could it be the amplifier has crapped out?

Default no good

sadly its starting to look to much for my non garage having abilities. looks like the starter might be going or needs to just get looked at not sure however.
