Nix Is Getting New Heads!

I shall miss your unique humour and your sense of fun. Perhaps you will continue to grace the forum from time to time to add your sparkle to it?
My very best wishes for your future; I hope the fun you have had with the car will bring the odd smile of reminiscence once the disappointment has dulled a touch.

Fellas, Fellas, Fellas!
I'm not Finished with the car, I'm Finished with that Project! Thats what I'm moving on from!
I'll be driving that car until the wheels fall off!
Or until it won't run anymore, then I'll have it towed down to Andrew and let him lay hands on it.
But as things stand here and now, I need to gather my humility and admit this is beyond me at this time and for the foreseeable future.
Better to quit now than to try to continue and end up with a pile of miscellaneous parts that get scattered and labels fall off.
I don't want to talk about how I know that happens.

Elinor,
Now I understand, thank you.
Yes, 4 hours to do an oil change on the Pretend Jag, that took 30 odd minutes last year, oops.
Stay on the Playpen, who else but You and Greg are going to correct my V12 blunders.
Untagged piles of parts, DAMN, I have a few of them from the V12 era. Luckily the kids both are going V12, greenies be buggered, and they will "inherit" these piles, hahaha, good luck kids.
Take care please, BOTH of you.

Well said and I agree :-)

Guys, you make me Blush!
Sheesh!
This place is one of my Refuges (second only to my congregation)! There is Mutual Respect here and I won't be leaving any time soon if I can help it.
I can still do quite a lot, and I could do *Everything* (as husband is nearly blind and mostly deaf he simply can't do much anymore) until he started bleeding (Gushing sometimes) when he ran into things like door frames. To this point it has been manageable (it's genetic) but I never know what I'll find when I come back to the house, even from working in the yard. The last time he didn't even know until his sleeve was wet and he looked down to find his arm was dripping all over the floor!
You might imagine how this weighs on me sometimes.
But that's what I get for marrying an Older Man.

It Sucks sometimes, how much we can be dragged down by the things, that are way out of our control. This "changing of the guard" so to speak doesn't happen gracefully. And learning to change our "perspective" to handle things, is not any fun at all. God Love You, and your Husband, Dear Lady. We'll do everything we can to keep your Spirits up.
