If anyone can help us with paint codes, colour etc

We have a may 1972 XJ6.
Believed to be "old english white"
We have read about Ditzler codes...... what are they? and where would we find this code on the vehicle?

We want to restore this beauty, and want to make sure we have the excact colour.

Any help or directions would be greatly appreciated.

Somewhere on the car will be a plate riveted onto the body with the paint and trim codes as well as the VIN. It could be on the inner wing in the engine bay. Your colour could be 'Tudor White" (NDC), but only the code tells you exactly.
