Parking Lights Problem on 84 VDP
Hi everyone, can't figure this problem out. the whole left side of my car has no parking lights including the left side of the tag light, i have checked all the bulbs and they are all ok. Thanks in advance for any help!
This is pretty strange considering the way the circuit is designed. I suspect you have a stack up of separate problems...most likely dirty connectors, poor grounds, corroded bulb contacts, or corroded fuses.
The left front marker and parking lamp go thru the bulb failure unit and fuse #14 (aux fuse panel) and are grounded at the left inner fenderwell area.
The left rear tail light shares an in-line fuse and bulb failure unit with the right license lamp. So, if the right license lamp works, the fuse and failure unit are OK and it must be the socket, bulb, or the ground...which is in the boot/trunk near the tail light itself.
Both rear marker lamps share the same fuse and bulb failure unit so if the right side marker lamp works, you're back to a ground, bulb, or socket problem for the left marker.
The left license lamp is paired to the right tail lamp so....well, you see where this is going!
Cheers
