Theres a difference between not running and not able to drive! mine runs beautifully, but its not driveable! Lol hopefully by Christmas it will be painted. Then i gotta put it back together (and be patient about it. Thats the difficult bit). So does mibe run? Yup. Driveable? Not if i would luke to keep my driving record clean!

Agreed.

Sometimes its a terminology thing. Like "wont start" when in fact it does not even crank over.

Lots more but think you get my drift.

Mine was driven today like it is most days, I dread the day it won't run.
But help is only one thread away when that day arrives. I did see a series 1 in a front yard with no bonnet, bet that doesn't run.

Nice 70 mph run up the famous fire starter hill today. Steering is so sweet now, just got to replace 6 shocks .

83 XJ wuzza six, Grosvenor Brown. Somewhat disabled. diagnostics and fix in progress.

Ignition key does not energize starter. Direct 12v to solenoid does.
Relay failed or wires or ignition switch crank position.

Mine runs just fine but she can't drive as she's on jack stands for the Winter while I fix the floor, change the Opticell to LED, make the backup lights work, make the shifter light work, clean the carpets, rebuild the front suspension, change the trans fluid.........
