82 xj6 series 3. Im not sure how the gauges on the dash are all connected. Are they all connected to one main source? The odometer hasn't been working since I got the car, the speedometer wobbles when it hits bumps then works when I accelerate (tried to rotate it out of the spring still cant get it). The coolant gauge I notice likes to go from a little under halfway then steps a hair down when accelerating, oil gauge works fine, the voltage meter im suspecting is faulty and causing that battery light to stay dim. I hooked up the multimeter to the terminals and turned on all the accessories, reved the engine a bit and it stays around 13.8-14 volts. But in the morning I notice when I hit about 40-45mph the volt gauge like to creep up a little under the red zone but will never hit the red zone.
