No drips from either the Jag bits or the GM bits. Just a trace from the rear main in the GM engine's trans flywheel dust cover. never a spot on the ground, after swpping out the rear brake calipers.

Jeep drips from the rear main. and a bit from it's valve cover. Part of the "modernization" of it's ancient design six was a plastic valve cover!!! And, it is recessed about half under the front cowl. So, it ain't gonna be removed.

As my front driveway is asphalt, the oil merely maintains it. Kinda "chip and seal" sans chips. The county in which I live recently did that to the road. Not bad. Delays eventual replacement immensely.

Leaks

Since I yanked the old Jag engine/trans out and replaced it with GM running gear, the car is bone dry underneath EXCEPT the rear pinion seal. Why is it Jaguar could not design a seal that actually seals the diff fluid in,... take that back ...one other leak.... the master cylinder (which is new) leaks where it bolts to vacuum power brake apparatus.
Just painted all of the engine compartment and now (like every other Jaguar) the brake fluid has managed to dribble down and ruin the paint in that area.

I always, when viewing pictures of other peoples' Jaguar S 1,2,3,... look to see if there is the telltale paint damage under the M/C...always seems to be..

Sure would like to know how to repair this annoying leak. I have an old Astro Van (1988 - runs like a champ,..reliable as can be - qualifies as a classic - lol) the van has 300,000+ miles on it and the original M/C does not leak.... nor does the diff pinion seal leak ... curious...
