Radiator/coolant light?
The radiator warning light in my '84 XJ6 is on and I'm not certain why. I replaced the thermostat (which was needed) and have made sure it's full if fluid, but the light is still on.
Any input on what I should be looking at?

The low coolant sensor is on the brown coolant tank....towards the front of the tank, about 1/3 up from the bottom. Make sure it's plugged in ! If not you may have to search for the dangling wire.
Sometimes the sensor itself gets dirty. It can be removed for cleaning . It presses into a rubber seal/grommet. Better order a new sealing grommet first, though.
The sensor works in conjunection with a transmitter under the dash. These almost never fail. I've never learned how the transmitter works. Might be interesting to open one up one day.
Cheers

The wire was the culprit. Thanks a bunch!
Of course, I have now discovered that the coolant reservoir has a leak and likes to spray hot coolant all over the insulation. Looks like I'm buying a new tank!
