As mentioned, it's not unhappy but at around 85mph it starts wining a bit and I generally expect the tranny to react to downshifts faster. I'm thinking both issues can be rectified with a slightly taller final drive that's closer to what the 6L80 expects since it was programmed for a 3.27 rear end in the donor Camaro SS.
Why not get a tune? I had my corvette tuned on the dyno for abt $500 and was glad I did as there were issues with the previous tune I didn't know about. Lots more fun than changing a rear end too.

Because I would still like to add an LSD. Otherwise I agree, a tune would be the easiest option.

Ah, understood. Do go the Auburn lsd route, not worth it really to dig into the power lok carriers when better new ones are only a couple hundred bucks more.

I think I have room to go one more step before I give in, I'm stubborn, I really hate to let this beat me, I had one pattern where my diff guy said "you could prob run that" but neither of us was really happy with it. Darren, I think I'll prob take your advice if this last try doesn't work out. My diff guy here is the one that everybody uses and he's a good friend, but he's so busy with big stuff I hated to bother him with it.
Just to follow up on my point about Motive gears. After being absolutely beaten by this thing I broke down and called Motive tech support, which was Erick at S&S Truck.com. I can't say enough about this guy, super helpful, in two hours he got me through what I'd spent over 40 hours on and got a very good pattern. I would highly recommend these guys for their great service. Got the diff blown back apart now for a final wash out and paint and reassembly. Finally making headway.

Follow up after you get it on the road and let us know how it sounds (or doesn't) and what you think.
