Default Red Line Tires

I'm back at it again. I've replaced my tires with Continental Control Contact 215/65/15's. As they are not available with Red Lines, I have glued on a Red Line product from https://tredwear.com/

I've installed these before with relatively

good luck. But if a tire sidewall doesn't have a good line to follow around the sidewall, if can be a "wavy" install. This time around I decided to search for a 18" round pattern to follow for a perfect circle. It could be a 18" round pizza pan, or a 18" round drum cymbal or whatever. I settled on a 18" round wood you can pick up at any hobby/crafts type store. Be careful though, because the wood is really particle board and the glue that you apply to the back of the Red Stripe will soak into the particle board, and the board will be glued to the tire. I had to paint the outside diameter to keep the glue from soaking in. But... I REALLY like the perfect circle outcome.

Thank you! Next will be a double thin red pin stripe above the chrome belt line.

That's pretty damn cool! I didn't know you could do that, they flex ok with the tire and stay put?

The first set I glued on years ago stayed on for years. You are not supposed to use any kind of tire shine on these stripes. They will get blackish marks on them.
