Default Sagging boot lid

Hi all,
the boot lid on my Series II 1978 Daimler DD is sagging and not quite capable of staying up on it's own.
Is there an adjustment that will increase the spring strength?
With Thanks
Al

when the springs have stretched there is no adjustment. You can add a prop or replace the springs.

We have had lot's of discussion about this. I use a gas strut that holds it opened exactly here I put it. Several different mounting points. Let us know if you can't find those threads.

XJ6 New and Improved Boot-Lid Hinge (concept) (covers sagging springs as well as additional opening hight)
This post has a lot of background...see post #60 for parts list.
Check E-bay AU for parts needed, most likely will be from China with free shipping... all parts are available in US, but shipping from US to Au is expensive.
Let me know if you have additional questions.

Your "link" doesn't work, David! You might want to look into it.
