Default Sagging jag

I just, and I mean just, bought an 96 xj12
i love the car but it is bottomed out in the front.
I can find rear springs right away and their cheap. But no one has front coils for a v12. Is there much of a difference? I get that they may be former for increased weight but is the problem that they will not physically fit or stay tight in place? Who has them? I don't mind having 6cyl springs if it sits a bit Lower than stock (not that I'm looking to disgrace it as a low rider) but it would be better than bottoming out. Please help with hyperlinks!

Ebay is full of them. Probably still available from Jaguar. You need V-12 springs as while it is an all aluminum engine it is still a chunk. What makes you think you need springs?

My he top of my tire is inside the fender it only has about 3/4" of give left so it's safe to say it's bottomed out.

i cant seem to find xj 12 springs and most of the sites that do parts for my build state that xj6 coils don't fit.

I I will gladly put them in if they fit.

Is is there an oe part# I can use?

First of all: Welcome to the forum!

Second: a 1996 V12 can never be a Series III car. You might be in the wrong forum section, as your car probably will be an XJ40 V12.
The experts in that forum might be better in helping you..

thank you for the warm Welcome!

I was under the impression that the xj40 body ended in 93/94 and the 95+ was part of xj300? I am very new to jaguar. What year is a series 3? And which forum is best for this question?

Thanks again.

Right

I am very new to jaguar. What year is a series 3?
The Series III 6 cylinder was produced 1979-1987
The Series III V12 was produced 1979-1992

The XJ40 6 cylinder was produced 1986-1994
The XJ40 V12 was produced 1993-1994

And which forum is best for this question?

"X305"...which specifically covers the V12 variant of the "X300" cars.

But you'll get lots of good help in the "X300" section as well

Cheers

Google these part numbers with the word "Jaguar" and see what comes up

JLM11854 (sport suspension)
JLM12161 (standard suspension)

Can you clarify "bottomed out"?

There's a ride height spec to be measured from the ground to the bottom of the front subframe. I don't have the spec at hand but recall something along the lines of 155mm. Someone will a better memory will chime in

Cheers

Thanks so much for all of your help you guys are fantastic. I will search those part numbers. To clarify bottomed out the top of the tire is inside the fender. I know they are not high riding but you can't even get a finger between the fender and the tread.
