Hey everyone,

Took my Jag out for a spin on this nice sunny we day we had and I noticed that when I went to buckle my seatbelt, I would not work. The belt seems stuck and doesnt want to pull out so i can buckle myself in. suggestions or tips to fix this? Thanks.

 

Its hard to say what the problem could but if it doesn't fix it self with some jiggling then I'll share that I just sent a seat belt off for repair to a place on eBay. just search seat belt repair, think the place was in MA.

My repair was required after i detached the side panel of my seatbelt and the internal spring flew out--what a mess and there was no way I woulda been able to figure out how to rewind. $50 and 3 days late its back and fixed.

 

Over the years I've repaired a number of stuck belts by simply removing them from the car and cleaning the mechanisms. They get awfully gunked-up over the years.

I have also found that if the car is on a slope to one side the belt won't pull out. If the car is level, no problem.
