Series 1 Fuel gauge sender
Hi, Yesterday my left tank was empty so I filled it. To my surprise it only took 28 liters to fill and the gauge showed full,so when I got home I siphoned 20 liters from it. Then the gauge was reading 1/4.
I'm assuming it is a faulty sender in the tank, are they adjustable or does it have to be replaced. I'm not considering replacing it at this stage,I'll just know when it shows empty I have approx 22 liters left in tank. Planning a 1000km trip at easter so it is good to now that I can keep driving when it shows empty, the right tank sender seems fine,so that tells me it isn't the gauge.
I thought I had really bad fuel economy as I was not looking at how many liters were going in each fill, just assuming I had used around 50 liters when it was empty. Usually when I fill the car I take two jerry cans with me to fill the bikes at home because I hate taking all that gear off to fill a bike at the service station.
