Series 2 to 3 tailight & trunk lid

Series 2 to 3 tailight & trunk lid
I have seen a few conversions of series 2 cars to the series 3 style tailight and trunk lid. Is anyone familiar with this modification and can you tell me if the series 2 trunk lid has to be modified or if the series III trunk lid just bolts on?
