With so much chrome on my car (including the chrome wheel trims, which I love), the satin black wiper arms look increasingly incongruous and too modern. I'd like to replace them with chrome versions, with the added benefit that it will shut up my old classic car mates who consistenly berate the current arms.

SNG Barrett show part numbers DAC2147 and DAC2145 as satin chrome options for my car but I can't track any down.

Does anyone have any ideas as to where I could source replacements that fit? I suppose I could polish off the paint or even get the current wipers chromed but suspect that sourcing replacements would be a more satisfactory option.

The obvious question is whether the chrome wiper arms from an S2 would fit, I guess.

 

If you are in UK, you could get them from Tex Automotive. They supplied wipers, mirrors etc to most of the British carmakers when new.

Tex Automotive had no options for my car on their website so I called them. It was a great service and two sets of wiper arms and blades are on their way.

It seems like a lot of if not all of the Series 2 models came with chrome wiper arms, and my 1975 series 2 does as well. You'll have to check up on compatibility and adapting, but you could pull them from a junkyard or donor car and save a fair bit of cash.
