Series 3 Transmission mount replacement
Sorry, I know there are a ton of responses to this topic, but I just received my "spool" and my SNG side mounts, so I think I'm ready to change them all out. Is there a comprehensive and definitve tutorial for this process? I've got the manual and all the comments from other members, but I wish there was a step by step run at it. Especially, the "washers" and the "special shouldered" washer. I understand the Spring tension issue, and if not, perhaps I should just document it myself, but I'm not good at stopping to take pictures. Maybe some CDB oil. It seems to be a good topic for a "documentary".
Wont happen till a week or two, as I need to attend to my Expansion tank leak/rupture issue. Tank arriving in 4 days!

The parts catalog illustration, and good notes & photos, will be helpful. Lots of parts to this crazy contraption but it's really just a matter of keeping track of things. It's entirely possible to install things upside down if you don't pay attention. Ask me how I know
You'll need a floor jack to take the weight of the transmission off the mounts.
It's been too many years since I last did Xj6 trans mounts so my memory is too foggy for a step-by-step. Others will chime in
Cheers
