Default Series II brake pedal assembly removal:(

Those Jaguar engineers sure have a since of humor! I wanted to remove the brake pedal assy because the master cylinder needs rebuilt and I am unsure of the condition of the booster. Plus it will give me a chance to service a couple of electrical plugs on the rear left side of the engine bay, right beside the brake booster.
The manual showed six bolts and then just lift the assembly straight out, pedal, booster, and master cylinder. Well there are five bolts and one stud, and the stud prevents removal because the brake group cannot be lifted straight up because of those two plugs coming through the firewall.
Of course the stud was seized! Big pliers took it out.
Maybe the stud is for something on the right hand drive cars? Either way another success.

Congratulations!!
Yeah, we can give them the benefit of the doubt and say it's a sense of humor, or we can call into question their intelligence, circumstances of their birth, parentage, etc.

I will be Delighted if I Never have to do that job Ever again!

DRAT! I've probably jinxed it!
