Series III - which Trani fluid to use?

Series III - which Trani fluid to use?
I'm finding conflicting info about which trani fluid to use for my 83' xj6. The posting here says he uses Dexron III/Mercon

However, AutoZone told me that the BW66 calls for Type F trani fluid (according to their computer). I have not yet changed the fluid and filter yet, but would like anyone's input on the following:
1- which fluid do i use?
2- does anyone use/recommend using Lucas trani additive?
3- apart from dropping the trani pan, do i need to flush out any fluid still in the trani? if so, how do i do this?
