Should "Lumps" have their own forum?

Well, if the forum were split into lump and pure, my solution would be a simple one. I'd read both.
I've always had a soft spot for in line 6's. And one with a DOHC head tops the list. The early Jaguar 6's with DU pots are things of beauty.
I enjoyed my car as an I6. And had it not suffered a catastrophic engine failure, I'd be tending it now.
OTH, the conversion was a wild adventure and took me into waters where I'd never been.

Nobody, these days. It's in the past.
In the past, some here (and elsewhere) made an effort to include such commentary seemingly at every opportunity, even when such commentary was not relative the topic at hand, wasn't called for, and added useful nothing to the conversation. That's the very definition of 'gratuitous'.
It was done purely to stir the pot.

You keep making general statements and offer no specifics or facts and just through out gratuitous claims and act smug by including definitions of words lifted from the dictionary as if you have the obligation and moral authority to educate those around you. Definition not with standing, seems to me you were referring to someone using the word gratuitous as a pejorative. Who is it? Where did this occur? It may have occurred in the past but your comment occurred in the present... so man up and back it up or retract it.

No need? I don't recall ever seeing it here. but, perhaps before my time.
And, in the past? So why resurrect?
But, on J-l it was there. Both ways. Again, way back. No resurrection.
Action on Lumps in the new J-l very limited.
But, the PUB there, wowee!!!! but next to nothing as to cars. Just touchy subjects...
Sol let be, it isn't here...
Instead.....
Merry
Happy New Year.
Happy Holidays
Or any other festive event...

I'm not taking the bait......even if you call into question my manliness.
You are in no position whatsoever to demand that I retract anything. Nor will I subject myself to interrogation by you. I have not challenged you or even mentioned you. I gave *general commentary* about what has occurred in the past. I needn't provide dates, names, time-of-day, or other specifics to do so.
For the record I didn't have you in mind when I made my remarks. And, if I've offended you, I assure you it wasn't intentional and hope you will accept my apologies.
I offer my apologies to the group as well, if my earlier remarks were found to be out-of-line.
The past is the past. I clearly stated 'in the past' in my first posting. All has been quiet lately. Let's keep it that way.
Cheers and thanks

I don't think you are out of line, Doug. it only takes someone to read the title and click or not to click. Don't see hard in that. If newby was a real Jag person he would read just to learn. I do occasionally read all, just to know these things and modifications are possible and now have the knowledge to pass it on to someone who is interested in these mods. Keep it simple, the "volunteer" modulators have enough to do. Thanks to all!
