Some questions..
Hello,
Currently, I'm looking into buying a new car and I been thinking about getting myself an older XJ6 because the ones I've seen for sale are pretty cheap. However, I have a few questions.
- What years should I look for?
- How reliable are they?
- Are they heavily influenced by Ford?
- What is the average MPG for city/highway?

What model would you like to buy ?
Is there any particular model or just XJ6 is enough for you or you are only interested in Series I-II-III
I would highly recommend 1995-97 X300s as the most reliable XJ6s ever made
Late model XJ40s post Ford owned '1993-94 also fairly reliable pre Ford era
City : 15 , Highway : 26 MPG not nad for a size of this vehicle
(I don't know much about Series I-II-III in regards to the fuel economy )
