Default Steering wheel compatibility question

Does anyone know if a non-airbag XJ40 steering wheel would fit a SIII? I have been driving my SIII "parts car" around lately and just hate the old skinny steering wheel with peeling leather. I can get my hands on an XJ40 one, but I am not sure if it would fit. Do they work with the horn push-rod? I tried searching the archives but could not come up with anything conclusive.

Thx

Eric

One sure way !!

If it is not expensive, get it and try it on.

Or:

Check here in the archives and on line for the parts catalog for an early FJ40. Check out the illustrations. Or the narrative on removing the F40 steering wheel.

Or, get a decent S3 wheel. David boger everydayxj.
