Hi I was wondering if anyone had an s2 steering wheel they want to part with, and a question are the s1 s3 and xjs wheels compabitable with the s2? Thanks. I have a lovely wooden wheel that I just dont like.

I have an S3 that now has an XJS (90-91) wheel and it is a perfect bolt-on. I would expect the S1 and S2 to be compatible, but I'm not positive.
I have a Series 2 white steering wheel that I’m looking to replace with a wood one. Want to PM me photos & details of your wheel and I can send you mine?

That wheel is not exclusively an XJS wheel. It is an authentic XJ saloon wheel, fitted to the 1990, 1991 and 1992 V12 saloons And yes, it is a perfect and direct swap, no alteration of any kind needed. And it has a thicker and more comfortable rim, is slightly smaller in diameter and is far more modern in appearance.
This is the very late XJ wheel as fitted to the 1990, 1991 and 1992 V12 saloons; it is the same wheel fitted to the 1989 XJS, and it is a direct fit:
In a 1992 V12 Vanden Plas:
as fitted as original equipment in a 1990 V12 Vanden Plas:
and in another 1990 V12 VDP:
and fitted to a 1987 V12 Vanden Plas as a replacement for the original, thinner wheel (the wheel badges are the same shape and size as those on the earlier wheel. They are generally silver on black.
These wheels make an enormous improvement visually and in feel, but perhaps best of all, they are authentic XJ wheels and they therefore look "right" (and however much one might like a wooden wheel, they are clearly anachronistic).
They sometimes come up on eBay, and sometimes wreckers have them…if you are in the US, you would look for a 1989 XJS wheel (the only car/year in that market that had this wheel). But in markets which had the late Series III V12 saloon (1990 -1992 in Canada, Japan, the UK, Germany) it would be a Jaguar; you would not look for a Daimler wheel since the Daimlers did not have this wheel. Australia and New Zealand….hmmmm…not sure if you had the late V12….
There is one of these OEM late steering wheels on ebay right now at $302.00.
There is nothing cheap about these wheels, in my experience (and I have fitted a number of these). Good leather on the rim, and the centre pad is sturdy and firm. The overall quality is higher than that of the earlier XJ wheels.
Jose: the wheel you had must have been subjected to some pretty extreme conditions, I think.
