It's a two speed motor with park. If brushes are worn - should it then work at all? It works fine on normal speed.

GuBe:
Tis just one of those things that make ownership of these cats "different".
A learned Gentleman on an other forum posted on it. It take learning a deft flick at just the right time of the stalk to park the blades at the proper rest position. I manage it at times. Don't drive it in the rain often.

Still talking about ser1 XJ6. Seems that the two speeds work only when connected directly to the battery, and not connected over the switch.
BUT if you disconnect the 5 connector socket from the viper motor you see a plastic tip on the socket underside that can flex inwards, and beneath the socket and the case there is a thin plate with one round hole where the mentioned tip passes trough + another smaller square hole. WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF THE PLASTIC TIP AND THE PLATE? I can't see the function or how it work. Could take a pic but dont know how to post it here.

Don't have the answer to the function question.
But, if you use the "go advanced" box to post, a lot of "fancy" stuff is available, including a link for "images". I managed to post there with an image or two.
But, I usually stick tot he basics. This machine doesn't respond well to image posting. A Win 1 issue?
Another on tried and true XP does it just fine.

Better than my Swede.... Non exisatant!! Volvo, about it.
When you hit "Quick reply", look above the box to type in. Several
icons. Count 7 from the left. It is a box simulating an envelope for the
post aka mail!
Click it. It will open a window for browsing places to select pictures from. Just follow it and it works.
I'll try here. Reverse lamp schematic???
