Default What is this called and is it broken?

As I mentioned in another thread, I am new to Jag ownership and when I put my 85 XJ6 on the lift I noticed these rubber mount seemed to be separating. Are they broken? If so what are they called and

where does one find the replacement part? Thanks.

Welcome to the club!

When dealing with rubber parts on these cars, I've found it best to go straight to the Jaguar Classic center. There are too many cheaply made parts and while they are cheaper to purchase than the genuine article, you will have plenty of time to calculate how much more expensive they were when you replace them ahead of schedule. "Buy once, cry once" means that if you buy the quality part the first time, you will save money over replacing the cheap part in a year or two.

As Torsen says, this is what you need:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/185658729922
Genuine Metalastik new but old, stock. Two needed. Anything else by the M brand is a waste of money.
If these rubbers are failing, then it is likely that a number of other ones are too. Look at the rear subframe mountings and suspension buhes too.
Rear mountings:

You need FOUR.

Yup, 4. 2 for each side.
But when I needed 4 and only 2 were listed I snapped them up anyway so I at least had 2.
Then later found another 2 somewhere else.
