Default Where do I tie this thing down?

Dyno Day Video

Highlights
Best HP run - 485 @ 5900
Best torque - 530 ft/lb @ 4200
374 HP @ 3800 RPM
Note the crispness as Keith snaps the throttle!

So where do I tie this thing down - to the cross member?, or the inner frame/body rail?

Ahhh that sounds GREAT!!!

What do you mean by tie it down? Do you mean tying the car down to a chassis dyno for rear wheel pulls, or tying a safety from the engine to the chassis?

What are you going to do for rear wheels & tires?

I want to tie the left front leading edge of the block to the crossmember or the inner frame/body rail. Cable or turnbuckle will go from the the bottom bolt of the A/C bracket to either.

Tires: Looking into widening the stock rims 1", running 225 or 235/60/15's. Also will run street slicks of the same size.

Ahh, that's what I thought. I would tie it down to the crossmember because that's where the engine itself is ultimately mounted. It might require some modification of the crossmember, such as welding in a piece of plate, etc.

Do you think a good set of poly motor mounts will keep the engine in check? Or do you just want a failsafe?

I'm using a JCI kit. It is what I found that would allow the BBC install. I've modified the mount as in the attached picture. Note the steel sleeve added to the center of the mount. "Opinions/history" offer pro's and con's. I want it as a fail safe, and to drive the slip in the converter and at the tires, not in engine movement.
