Default Why you should check those gaskets

So i have been slowly going around the car doing any work that I can, without knowing too much at the moment.

Its equally rewarding and satisfying and with the help of Doug, Jagcad, Yellow Series 3 and Jose and other nice fellows I have learned a lot in what i would consider a small amount of time.

I decided to look at the crankcase vapor screen. I did some research and I ordered 2 gaskets, just in case.

I took the whole thing apart and it was a mess. Gunk etc. Could barely see through the filter. Could barely see the bolts holding it all together. And the gaskets?!! What gaskets??? They crumbled as i barley touched them.

It pays to be on top of basic maintenance. Glad I am gaining confidence in taking things into my own hands. With help from the good chaps here and plenty of reading!
